She who treads on the sea builds around the theme of the migrant body in the liminal state where the sense of identity dissolves and falls apart. Her work evokes the passage of time, in dialogue with the repetitious glittering of salt from the sea and the unexpected play of light that determines a new ambiguous landscape of past and present connection. In her research and practice, she examines the importance of artistic representation of lived experiences in the understanding of the temporal dimension of liminality in relation to memory, body and transitional spaces.
